Christian reflections
Stopping I – emotional I
Like Christians, instead of concentrating on as we feel, we must concentrate on what we know that it is real, as the God's Word teaches us.
I remember those years in which a “Christian was usually a yo-yo”, as I usually call it. It always had ups and downs. If my husband Dave was doing what I wanted, then I was feeling happy.
But if it was doing what I did not want, then it was going mad. It allowed myself to go for my emotions, instead of allowing to work the Holy Spirit in me.
More than any other thing, the believers say to me how they feel: "I feel that nobody loves me”, or “I feel that my spouse does not treat me well”, “I feel that I will never be happy” “I feel … feel … I feel …”, it is something continuous.
God wants that we mature and know that our emotions will not disappear, therefore we must learn to handle them and dominate them instead of allowing to dominate us.
We have to exercise the car domain and say to our meat that it should be in line with what it is well, instead of with what he wants.
We must persuade us ourselves about whom we will not be able to say everything what we mean, eat everything what we want to eat, to remain awake all the time that let's want, or to get up when it pleases to us.
For the power of the Holy Spirit, He will help us to stop living according to our emotions, will teach us to be stable.
